Like the man said, there is no new thing under the sun. The best we can hope for is to say the same things, but in different ways. Unfortunately, those who write relationships poems find this concept hard to understand.

No one said it was easy to be a poet. That's true for any endeavor worth pursuing. I'm guilty of similar themes which is why I've slowed down to a pause.
This poem is one I can relate to strongly when browsing this site. But, still, here I am.

The tired in this is almost overwhelming.
It reminds me of two things - the poem which includes the line 'Rage... against the dying of the Light' and a more modern take on it in the form of a digital dance track 'The Film's Cr*p - Let's Slash The Seats'.

Yes, the same themes, "exhausted fumes from exhausted poets on circular highways- great metaphor uncanted j. We have the same human experiences, perhaps seen and interpreted through unique filters...perhaps...
how do you take the same old feeling and present it differently, maybe dress it up a little, or offer a different point of view? so hard. we love, we hurt etc... these feelings are constant and to feel them is human. brilliant metaphors as always. i feel tired of the day in / day out sometimes. i think that's why for me going away and coming back is good
