A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

more napkins please

simply us
the you's and me's of it all
memories baking in an oven of romantic inclusion
recipe discarded
we are a one time entree
no dessert necessary
nor side dishes,
just what we are
one place setting for two
no utensils necessary,
we'll use lips and hands and other things
and leave the table,
sated for eternity
simply us
the dinner guests with panache
and perfect etiquette
love is a courtesy garnered
with a polite excuse
to leave the table
no expectations,
no necessary return engagement
simply us.
in a now and most delicious
repast.

LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! This is delightfully playful & tasty! I can definitely see the need for many napkins as your scrumptious wordplay is splashing sweetness all over the place! *smile* (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
