Oscars are OverratedA Poem by jacob erin-cilberto
Oscars are Overrated
and the nominees for best fatal
attraction are, exes in black and white
shorts
the brevity was no
feature film but much like "Gone
with the Wind" in posture
goodbye speeches make an oration here unnecessary
i hear the music playing but i've already left the
stage to murmurs and jeers
and some tears of support
but that's okay... nominations by my peers mean more than awards after all, the memories are just a plastic
statue representation of some
magic moments of drama and black comedy
so i'll return to the
seat of my expectations and have another shot
but not until the next
director is willing to edit the
script
and let me win at the end of the film.
