A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

Rain

fortune teller's blues

chaotic love life back tracks

palm's lines cloud over

Bad moon rising.
Don't touch the Tarot Cards; keep your hands in your pockets; avoid crystal ball gazing.
Prospects are bleak--better not to know.
Lay low; find a tin roof and listen to the rain.
Intriguing senryu!

your reply is so poetic, reminds me of the Lovin' Spoonful..."you and me underneath a roof of tin"read more
The lines lead to....? We know what was but who really knows what will be? And then the clouds/rain/tears(?) alter perception....Very thought-provoking piece. Perfect.

Searching for answers yet not finding them from the only hope available. Even gypsies are unreliable when the heart is aching for what or who it so desperately wants.

thank you for your words, Glass Moon.

eloquently poignant, i love the mystique element (occultism) weaved through this. very evocative of one good at giving advice, yet has a hard time following their own. (at least that's how i read this) -- your gift for words, and unique dictation always leaves an indelible impression upon the reader.

i love the title as well, the last line is stunning!

thank you for sharing,
-- xx -- barrie
