Such deep thoughts in three short lines, Jacob. A sinner doomed to wander the night with only his flashlight lighting the way....perhaps in the inner city where the stars dare not twinkle. A lot to read in between the lines of this one....I liked it. Lydi**

thank you, Mr. e
I think we are sky bound; but being earth bound in life, we forget where we're headed. I'm so glad to live in the county where I can appreciate the stars. Living in the city doused their light in many more ways than one. Love this.

Always figured any penance offered served to make the sinner feel better--as if he or she had, somehow, come closer to "squaring things." Didn't seem to me that God kept track of such things.
He appeared more interested in the purity of one's heart.
Stunning little number, Jacob!

did you know that it's actually better to hike at night without a flashlight, the moonlight guides you. your eyes adjust. if you want to see the big picture, forget about the spotlight, you'll find your place among the stars regardless

Makes sense to me. I believe God orders angels to take away the batteries from the arrogant lost souls that murdered their way through life.

The religious theme reborn in a well constructed senyru Jacob. Guilt the master of the Catholic psyche.
