the fluctuation of teardropsA Poem by jacob erin-cilbertothe fluctuation of
teardrops
most of
the time, the rain is straight
laced downward angles, pelting
truth
but on occasion, that horizontal path, like the white lies of
lightning emits crooked drops splashing us with
falsities
relationships can be
like April weather the on and off of truth and lies the pulsating skies in
the eyes of a lover,
what do we believe? clouds never burst or the sun never sets on
love
pondering the conundrum the mind hears
thundering applause it drowns out the
integrity of honest clearing
so we anticipate the
next storm, either looking forward, or seeking shelter.
