the force

the force

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

the force

love's ruinous nature compels
hearts to suicidal empathy
moribund expansions,
pulsating conundrums
we can't figure out,
solutions condemned to wonder

but regardless,
we manage to drive the reckless abandon
into the first beautiful tree
we see.

Indeed 'love' is a compelling attraction for most of us even if we do not understand it and we are prepared to put our foot down to get there in a hurry and equally to wreck the car in the process. I see so much in this that reflects my own recollections of many 'highways' I have travelled and the loss of my no claims bonus because of the number of walls I have impacted!

you and i both, my friend.....thank you John....

I love the use of few, powerful, carefully considered, and yes, somewhat formal words.

Parallel holds up. Only difference is, sometimes the leap to live doesn't lead to disaster.
