To become a scholar of another. To know butterfly kisses. Wonderful places we shall hold closely. I enjoyed the complete poem. Thank you Jacob for sharing the amazing poetry.

One cannot know anyone except they get to know their mind without any assumptions going uncorrected. Many a scholar of many a famous person knew nothing of them in the slightest. Don't study to know anyone. Be vulnerable and interact with them and not that you know or heaven forbid think you know of them. That way you will find you either love them or hate them and have to make the decision to love them anyway even should they misuse your vulnerability.
Your metaphors know no bounds Jacob and like a tube of toothpaste you squeeze more and more out.
How we become 'infatuated' with someone and want to know so much about them. We often rewrite that novel ourselves and make it what we expect hoping to graduate to longevity of love; enduring love in fact.

your reply is better than the poem....thank you, John.....
And Jacob is teaching! Perfectly seductive and gracefully sensuous-"i net your butterfly kisses to my heart"....Am reading lips...and yours are a novel"-great wordplay and stunning lines. Love this!
