a purgatory of sorts

a purgatory of sorts


occasional lovers
last minute kissing cousins
relative infatuation ends
as quickly as it begins---
passing fancy adorns
a heart in limbo

heaven is the forever embrace
but for now,
a sip of sentiment
is all we imbibe.
