A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

a purgatory of sorts

occasional lovers
last minute kissing cousins
relative infatuation ends
as quickly as it begins---
passing fancy adorns
a heart in limbo

heaven is the forever embrace
but for now,
a sip of sentiment
is all we imbibe.

You are welcome my friend.
I love this, to me it speaks to this need we have as humans to love and be taken, touched. We expect more from those encounters, waiting for more. I wonder if heaven will really be all we expect.

...and for now, that "sip of sentiment" is all we may need. "You can't always get what you want". Life teaches that the hard way. Love the poem and the tender, transience so eloquently penned...

Just a tad more than a one night stand....perhaps one believes it is more than the other. Still, sometimes a warm hug and a bit of human contact is all that is needed. How sad really....but not unusual. Lydi**

The frailty, the temporary nature of some relationships, even if we wish for more, is encapsulated in this Jacob.
