Apparition's Crimson Suggestion

Apparition's Crimson Suggestion

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

Apparition's Crimson Suggestion

you were my moonshine garden
on a late May afternoon
the aisle of you drank in my countenance
i stuttered along the path of least resistance
seeds of longing sown with certain accession

kissed you by our reflection on the lake
just before i woke in your bed of roses
bleeding from thorns of naivety

petals doing the dead man's float
in waves curling around my heart
as i came to

and you waved goodbye
just as new flowers broke ground.

Bleeding from thorns of naivete...
I've experienced that.
This is what poetry is all about.

We've earned our ghosts... with every teardrop behind our eyes.

Ah simile by simile to get to the heart of an explanation . Again a seductive feel within the imagery that floats one in a quiet reverie. thanks Jacob

Always think, if you could choose that journey again.
What would you change. The ultimate meeting of two people at just the right time. The ending where pain bites you on a lonely night. What would it be.

I was just outside pruning a rose bush and was pierced by one of its thorns. Love has a way of piercing the heart, its thorn forever haunting, despite new flowers breaking ground. There is always the promise but the pulse of lingering pain.

Hello J,

This one is quite sad, though filled with beautiful, romantic imagery...

Just when it all seemed so good, she left you alone in the garden of Eden!

Bittersweet indeed Jacob, been there had the T-shirt!

Ah, young love....we are so naive, but it feels so good. She lured you into her bed and then vanished....looking for fresh meat. An age old tale, but your metaphors make it fresh and enjoyable to read. Lydi**

The lake and dead man's float brought about imagery of King Arthur sent out in a boat to his final resting point from the movie. Excalibur. Having said that, an excellent portrayal of new lovers night rhapsody!
