may be all answers are hidden in your line "spent all my heart on you ".. those who fail to understand the beat of true a heart, will also ask "who had told to spend the emotions, I like only branded famous products".. really cheap returns by the most expensive person of heart..this is heart touching..thanks for sharing with us J.
"The broke beats of me"- you pierced my heart with the pathos and honesty of this line. Sharp like a knife retrospective on a gold-digger (shall we say?) that took her pound of flesh in love &/or money and ran. "Spent all my heart on you once"- profound, brilliant, sad.... You're better off without her.....Great Poem! Kudos!
If I'm going to get returns, I prefer them to be expensive.
Gads, this piece is hang-dawg depressing.
Let me know if you're looking for any more of those "what ifs." Got me a trunk full.
Very perceptive poem, Jacob!

There is an emptiness echoed in this piece which replicates the void and numbness such a transition may have. As always metaphor and wording used with precision Jacob.
At present watching good friends go through the " why's " and "What ifs " of ever bitter divorce proceedings. 20 years of marriage ruined by him entering another woman whilst the wife laid up having just had her womb removed.....painful to watch the kids put through the wringer.

Kids are resilient, they'll cope, not so sure about the wife. Thank you
