![]() the bones of a time agoA Poem by jacob erin-cilberto
sordid
decomposure exposure of demented facts old friends, not
bookends but enclosing some
elusive chemistry--- a past science,
doing the math again, but not sure the
multiplication of years in-between adds up to a factor worth
computing
and yet, composing those songs in
my head of yesterday, they don't sound
unplayable
vinyl gathers dust but the grooves are
still there when you smile
and unfinished
experiments still have the
possibility of successful
conclusion.
