So short, and yet sooo powerful!
I love the analogy...and yet...the words are so true. I'm not sure people invest in love the way my generation did...or still tries to. There in no longer a 'happily ever after'. There's only a 'you'll do for now'. Maybe that's because noses never come up out of cell phones long enough to really get to know the prospective love...they're judged by FB entries, and creative tweets, and selfies. Powerful words, indeed!

Another arrow through the heart of modern day love sent on the wings of a senryu. Hopeful hearts seem misplaced in today's merry-go-round of dating, marriage and bed hopping Jacob
When will love ever be an affordable investment again? Or a buyer's market? Will it only be a tax write-off in the end? Excellent, zinging commentary and perfect Haiku Jacob! Also love the Meatloaf line you quote in your profile!
