casting apologiesA Poem by jacob erin-cilberto
today's
wishful thinking becomes a tomorrowful
thought in yesterday's cadence letting out poetic line you run with my
affections
a rhythm's lure,
sounding the heart like a small mouth
bass to dive to the depths before the gambol towards a love's sky
water
today's wishful thinking baiting the clouds into
striking
i'll set the hook, if i ever get you to
bite on the softness of my
shame.
