A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

subject

a reluctant image
photographers lens wanted to dwell
her tears, shied from the spectacle
she didn't want to become

kerchief borrowed, hiding place in her palm
face buried with her sorrow

the ashes grind against her heart
picture incomplete
her focus impaired with longing

exposure removed with inclination
to smile.

You create a sad photo. I liked the description. You made the reader feel the emotions and the thoughts. Thank you Jacob for sharing the amazing poetry.

Was my pleasure and you are welcome Jacob.
Could be Jackie Kennedy at the worse time in her life. Probably every camera in the world clicked that day.

i really feel this one, there is always so much more than meets the eye, underneath the images/facade we project. this is where we hide our pain and insecurities

So many hide the pain...keep the emotions bottled up. Do we really see the whole picture when we look at a person or do we see what they choose to reveal? I liked it. Lydi**

maybe better to fool you with a partial
airbrush- than the full delusion

i like that...poetic justice? just a bit airbrushed?
Wanting to be happy but lacking the ability. The picture to me could simply be a moment or chapter in time/life. The photographer could be her conscience. I think there's a photographer in us all underneath the layers of our thoughts.
