missed connections

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

missed connections

i feel ravenous for your voices
the telephone lies silent
on your end there is just an outlet
no wiring, no attachment

you fly free
and i am chained to only the solace
that your clouds float above the rain now

yet my sunny sky
no longer has sound,
and feels empty

                                                              without it.

The most beautiful of days can be fouled with the pollution of regret. Some mess's can never be cleanse. Just merely swept under the rug.

I really enjoyed this poem. Your phone may not always ring, but your message can always be heard, through hope. Thanks for sharing.
