should have walked homeA Poem by jacob erin-cilberto
philosophical
tongues wag at 2 a.m. Vodka rites celebrated in stalemate
designated drivers find
Cadillac rivalries disputed luxury philosophical tongues not a dry eye on the
pavement
leaning out the window for a metamorphosis in
conversation ruptured stomach
tightens with each concession
now at his house he parlays his goodbye into the last word as the adversary’s
window rolls up.
