A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

near Wells River

an old dirt road in Vermont

gray fox struts across

barely noticing us

an old sly fox

lying in-between the sheets of life and death

barely noticing us

he has walked his roads

they lean upward

he spreads his wings

foxes can fly..

I'm so sorry Jacob. It's never easy to go through the grief of losing a parent. I wish you much peace.

You are welcome Jacob.
Just right now I am reading The Death Of Vishnu and your poem bought this book to mind immediatley - it's about him dying and the world still moving all around him, reflections of his own as well as others, how well did he spend his time ....

A great write, scant yet full, brimming even, leaving one to continue the thought X

Between life and death....I have seen too many loved ones like this. They do spread their wings and fly...when the time is right. Sad words. Lydi**
