A strong bond between a father and his son. A touching read. Death does not break that bond, he is still with you in your DNA. He flows in your blood. They do not leave us, our parents.

The senses are bringing me full circle with death this week and it landed me here...I haven't felt your presence much lately. Thought I would check in....hugs
this is touching; your father's influence is inevitable, and this is evident physically when you resemble him, no matter how much you may look down upon him

Sometimes we can look into our parents eyes and see our own future. Everyone gets old, it's rarely graceful in the end. It's sad and tragic. Because you will miss them and become them one day. This was beautifully written.

yes, we do become them in the end, don't we?

Such a beautiful, moving poem, Jacob. The love of a father transcending ash and filling the bones of the son. "voice of ash still resonates from the churning urn."This is how your poem has touched me- Love passes through your words from father's ashes to the son to the reader's memory of her father's love passing to her grom the grave. Thank you for this beautiful write.
What a beautiful way to express the bond, Jacob Sir.
Very moving, very unique and the message is very true. The parents continue to live in our bones and memories..
