Unfortunately, there is no rule book when it comes to matters of the heart. Anyone can get a marriage license and anyone can make a baby. "whether we are vested or not"...double meaning here. In order to have it all...the love, the house, the family....one must have a good financial foundation. In today's world that is not easy. The Donna Reed show marriage is a thing of the past. Lydi**

One wonders whether today's love is just fast dating, the first sign of a struggle and it's game over. Costly business too. We live in a fickle world of no discipline,no commitment and lesser emphasis on the family unit. Affordable housing is no longer, tainting the family dream of owning a home and all the values that go with it. Nice write J

Bullets don't love people; people love people.
I've been trying for years to get one of those love licenses, the rules are strict enough!
I feel as if everything has been pried from my cold dead heart!

your words make me shiver, Jimmy...and that is because they are true.
In this day and age it seems relationships are 'moveable feasts' and instant gratification, if not met leaves us loveless again and again as people move on leaving us the assassinated, shot through the heart.

It would indeed be good for a heart to have a permit granted by one who would respect that which has been granted so that the only vest needed would be that which would hold in the love, take that shot in the heart as one from Cupid with his bow rather than from a loaded gun of hurt and pain. Bagging the limit should be only that which brings happiness!
Great metaphors, but you always have those!
p.s. Maybe we need to print a book of instructions as how to guide those magic bullets to a bulls eye in the heart so that love can spill out rather than pain!

Yes, I might just work on this as a posting for WC.
Any ideas to add?
