his bed

his bed

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

his bed

spindly little flower
she's a rose in dreams
the gardener calls,
she raises her head,
the petals unfold

she is love,
she blushes
he clips her wings
her thorns ache in his memory
the petals close

she's a rose
                    in dreams.

That's beautiful
That man brave enough to hold a rose
Without breaking anything
In his bed
It takes a real man to do so
This is a very touching piece for me

WOW....the metaphor blew me away in this one, Jacob. A woman with dreams that soon turn to dust because she gave it all to a man who did not deserve it. Too many fall victim to this. They can only be happy in dreams.....tragic really. Great write. Lydi**
