tremors and terminators

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

tremors and terminators

complacent entropy,
static energy, faces erupting
expressionless

we are clones of the same factory
the apathetic machines grinding out
acceptance

harbingers of a disillusioned future
programmed synthesis of ideas
compartmentalized to survive

alone, together, alone...

alone
unfazed,
phased out.

I loved real poetry and real thoughts.
"harbingers of a disillusioned future
programmed synthesis of ideas
compartmentalized to survive
alone, together, alone..."
The above lines. Made me wish to know more. Thank you Jacob for sharing the excellent poetry.

You are welcome my friend.
Are we phased out? Sometimes I feel like I have passed my "sell by" date, that's for sure! It does seem like original thought has fallen by the wayside through the years and because of technology, many do turn into clones. Apathy is sad....we thought we had stomped on it and ended it in the 60's. Good write, Jacob. Lydi**

Thank you my friend!
Yes indeed. Is this progress? As always dear friend you get my little grey cells moving. There must be reasons for doing things as a human. Even this damn machine asks me to prove I am one. What if I'm not sure?
More than one meaning to the phrase phazed out. I prefer the one that comes from my hippy days.

i just love humanness, and i too miss my hippy days.
thank you, Ken
One day i was digging the field when i spotted a ox grazing. A thought occurred. Then i saw a horse.
Then machines came along. Now the machine does the field itself. I am now surplus to requirements.
That film isn't so dumb now.

Think you're right. You see that with drones now. Push button war.
**CONSPIRACY THEORY ALERT**
I read once that American society's politicised zenith in the 60's so shook the establishment that they resolved to 'dumb' America down (save for the elite) via the education system.
Have they succeeded, by and large?
Thought provoking Jacob.

We stand by and watch as our Romes burn each and every day. Then the robots with AI take over. We watch Yemen and Syria and Somalia and Ukraine and homelessness on our streets, inner city and rural poverty and inequality and we do and say nothing. Frightening concept except it is true! You paint darkness in this one Jacob.

thanks Kathie..

apathy fuels the daily grind it seems, harder to engage, though while in it, alone seems more natural
when feeling apathetic.
