standing taller

standing taller

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

standing taller

white trees

the dark silt beneath---

cold front comes in

freezing rain of conscience

that soil stays rich in moisture

may be tears,

may be just the white trees

shedding their icy image

and regaining their own color

a blend of many.

Being able to renew yourself may lead to seeing things in a different way. Self-improvement often occurs after a time in the cold of self-doubt.

yes, it does, Pale...you are so right.
thank you for the read and words,
j.
You've buried your heart beneath that monumental soul tree. It grows there...safe....nourished by energy. Energy not wasted on day to day world's. It's time to start shedding.....

thank you for your words, Queenie.

This speaks to me of a kind of optimism at best - shedding is usually good for renewing purposes even shedding tears - or wishful thinking at worst.
The soil beneath the trees has been nourished - the grass roots may be showing - things may be looking up. (taller)
Striking imagery Jacob.

A snapshot and the change of nature from one state to another. Your words get me out of a mood Jacob.

thank you for your words, Dale.

This leaves an empty feeling of the in-consequence of passing loves and loves missed. The frosted images are stark and effective Jacob.

thank you for your kind words, John...

You have quite the imagination when you interpret that are many sources for the tears' existence, all of which don't predictably come from humans.
