flared threads of reminiscenceA Poem by jacob erin-cilbertoflared threads of
reminiscence
my
jeans are frayed convictions the holes are weary
repercussions of a worn out
life,
but not empty of smiles in the pockets i hold
many keepsake secrets of times well spent in denim diatribe
writing sinewy verse i have lived closeness shared like
adjectives connected to nouns adverbs to adjectives and such related realms
of memory put to pen,
the blue becomes faded the more life gets
washed out but the jeans fit more
comfortably the older i get.
