a January outingA Poem by jacob erin-cilbertoa
January outing epiphany's
coming but not a Jesus thing or a Wise-Man thing or some crazy brilliant
star in the sky
more like a mind on
hallucinogens speeding toward some
distant light a North Star deliverance from a darkness of
reason rising
dreams are comfortable but my pajamas have
holes in the feet makes me wear boots and
gloves and wish for a return of
sense
and love. or maybe warmer feet to curl up against
another's when the snow starts
falling again.
