Disappointment is a "quiet roar." And, I suppose, I've been kissed into flotsamhood. But the guts of beggars being used as chum?
I admire the brave sailors and am unsettled by "ghosts proposing toasts."
Have no clear conception, however, of the method by which Kings are recouping their losses. (Gambling? Shipping cargo?)
Anyway, I managed to fill up this box--regarding rather mysterious seafaring shenanigans.
Please don't give me less than a "D," prof; I need this course!

Bullshit is how I got through school.
Livelihood to Comfort is what sea means to different people. When it comes to operations revolving around sea there is a little discomfort of unknown and uncertain.
Alas, we are always the ones left on bare alters in cold seats.Tighting our corsets and our tears...stomping out the commands....off with their heads..
There can be a high cost of going to sea - Davey Jones locker is filled with the hearts of the adventurous looking for love where none exists.
I'm not comfortable swimming at this depth but I do love to swim j.
Interesting write.. I observed a despaired view of a despaired observant view of someone lost and doomed on past voyages of failed Love.
Someone who has traveled many voyages and someone who can be still easily set to sail again. Say as much, as be led by the Siren's so easily and be led out into dangerous waters over and over again, only to be gut wrenched again and again.... All the above I see and heard within the write.
Then the last stanza has a twist..
Somehow the Despaired observer is seeing the doomed sailor whom is liken to a beaten down, peasant arise, as a King.
A much higher status and claims his Authority and Assets. As though he is lifted from the losses. I truly liked this very much Jacob and am so glad I picked this one first to read.
Rich with imagery, this piece is truly one that lends itself to deeper thought. Reading it, I wanted to let the words tumble through my mind, digesting them, pushing each generated image into a pattern to form a picture in my mind. I think that picture will differ for each person that reads it, because we all internalize this aspect of love...or love lost..so very differently. I loved this line: love moored to a sand bar kingdom
