at the institutionA Poem by jacob erin-cilberto
raining sounds roof strong tapping can't get in the Raven loses this
time
i am not drowned in my
own sorrow i am drinking from it and getting deliriously
drunk on the tears
but they can't get
inside my heart they fall by my window i watch them,
raining sounds roof strong tapping can't get in
nevermore
i smile, take another belt now totally insane
the window turns white i don't hear anything,
now
except a slight flutter
of wings.
