jacob-erin-cilberto,
Interesting and inspiring....... to find that the bringing forth of thoughts to the page is like wooing the interest of a potential love. Very impressive it it's structure and meaning. Don't know what else to say except, very cool!!! Bless you much in your wonderful writing. Kathy
not sure how I missed this gem Jacob...
agree with E on those last few lines, intentions do count... most times they allow the interlude to come alive... sometimes though they count for nothing and she fades, leaving us broken hearted...
I also liked that "kiss of inspiration" line.. how many poems are written from either imagining such a kiss and more, getting such a kiss... (an aside: I have a small book called "The Kiss" that combines art and poetry from many different poets through the years)... and even if only a "fantasy miss", I say write her another poem Jacob, perhaps she will see the good intentions as well as the romantic poetry and turn toward you and smile... ;0)
wonderful soft and romantic poetry here Jacob..

Sometimes the muse can take many forms. She'll dance in toward the 'tightly lipped artisan' then 'shyly turn away' all the while watching for 'the momentum of his creativity and the best intentions behind it.'
I hope your muse appreciates good writing, j. Because that's what this is.
