it just figuresA Poem by jacob erin-cilberto
finding
pain in perpendicular outcomes, the graph shows
intersection heart, impaled by words actions on crossed lines that cross lines empathy bleeds
poets do the math but write in semantic
inclines not equations love doesn't always add
up to a perfect sum
yet the work to get to
the solution is the reward, and sometimes we do find pain in
perpendicular outcomes
but that is the unknown
variable and is always a factor even when the smiles
survive the computation.
