Perdition's Exception

Perdition's Exception

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

Perdition's Exception

confessions of fictitious writer

words in abundance

stream through a sieve

the occupant on the other side

no priest,

no father i have sinned

no contrition

no expedition

into forgiveness

just phrases

of phases of a life

well drunk, of bruised ego

of crippled inspiration

found in the bottom of a bottle

he is the tequila worm

swimming in his own detrimental philosophy

fishing for the elusive

sign of the cross

so he will no longer have to bear

his.

A very nice write Jacob.
Just phrases of phases of a life......... What a beautiful poetry!
Yes, we are always there mostly with our pleas and of course sometimes with our confessions. But , what can we do! There is only one for us whatever may be his/her name.
Reading is your work is always a pleasure.
Thanks for this one. Keep sharing.

oh the whiskey .. a never ending empty bottle ... Catholicism is long and wide and many there are that swim there ;} tho we marched up to the church weekly for confession i remember only one scene ...a little boy making up sins because he just had to confess something .. not that he had none .. he simply didn't understand :) ..and always the three Hail Marys and one Our Father .. nice job as always sir .. enjoyed reading
