on that rocking horse saddleA Poem by jacob erin-cilbertoon that rocking horse
saddle
like
morphing from rock to country i inverted pavement into a save meant to
break my city soul down to earthen roots under open skies
and tree lined hearts shading the centrifugal
force that kept me going in
concrete circles with scraped knees and
ruined jeans
the patches grew like
acorns from the woods that sang
songs to me with a little more twang but a whole lot more
bang
for my rural buck.
