the curtain is moving slightly

the curtain is moving slightly

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

the curtain is moving slightly

it's a new Cold War,

better set that space heater

by the computer

otherwise your insides will be out

there will be more shivering

with the windows closed

and the screen turning red

as the faces

staring at confessions

they never meant to make.

No matter what the situation, it seems instant fodder for Facebook and Instagram. Those photos and comments ARE eternal....they will live to haunt the one who posts them forever and a day. Never doubt there is someone out there waiting to embarrass you....no matter how many years from now. Always a pleasure to read you. Lydi**

Nice. Learning what not to say, if only to keep the curtain in place.

Why do i get the impression of Oz in this, ah it has to be the curtain reference, it still makes me sigh to see the blue moon dripping it's three stars like the tears they became.

The internet provides a certain false anonymity that fools some people into the most baffling of things. Anthony Weiner comes to mind.

I am reminded of a lover finding messages online, exposing an affair of sorts. We don't always watch what we say in some forums and we never know when our dirty laundry will be discovered.
