October always brings a nice feeling, the first chilly nights and backyard fires. It's like the earth is confused for just a moment.
Of course, this can be about a girl, who just can't make up her mind...Is she staying? Is she going? Is she putting on the tough exterior when really there is a soft heart underneath? So many different interpretations..
Hmmm you know in October I feel Fiesty, ready to ride my broomstick and cause havoc. By December, I'm calm again, ready for giggles and hot cider. I love October's warning especially the third stanza!
Your linguistic expressions are spot on. " ..we drift, you try to be so cool....... underneath. the snowfall...the ground is a soft heart....." The case of similar function but different structures. Brilliant writing. This a great writing to learn from especially with the use of analogies.
