There were some pretty fabulous album covers of days gone by. I remember the art of Elton John's "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road", how it opened up revealing three parts with all the lyrics.
It was something really tangible to hold onto, like a picture frame...or a book. Holding a square piece of plastic just doesn't afford us the same sentimental value. [Not to mention how difficult they still are to open!]
"but i didn't hear the music
just felt your beat
and danced your tune
until--- the album scratched indefinitely"
Thanks for the incredible journey back!

Oh, I feel an affinity to this one! How many of us have sat and wept over vinyl? Sat clutching all that remains of a love, as if the cardboard would magically morph into the thing we morn. Clinging to lyrics of a song that once locked you together yet now leaves you blurry eyed, watching the repetitive revolutions of black plastic hypnotising your memories. I really enjoyed this one!

I have been really busy, business is booming in the stained glass industry and my novel it a couple of weeks away from completion of the final draft. I went backwards and re-wrote the first 3 chapters; on reflection I felt it was not my best work and as you read the book it felt as if I was just getting into the swing of it, so yes, very close now for that one and the second in the series is also nearly complete, I guess I will know how many there will be when I write my final chapter which closes the story!! I have just recorded Autumnal Winters for a West End musical which is quite exciting too!
How are you? College? It's getting colder here now, I will be back for the winter months!

Yes, I have been following what has been happening, well, what the media actually report on! Hard times everywhere on a global level it seems. A friend who's based in the Philippines has come back to earn some money and they have halved the wages from what he was earning 10 years ago!! Unbelievable that government value education so poorly, what do they expect will happen to our young generations? We need to invest in them!
