the history of what-if'sA Poem by jacob erin-cilbertothe history of what-if's
there
were articles of confederation and then there were
confederate articles with our love,
an autumn fling, a summer's moribund
dream the inevitable ending
we were the grey evolving from the
halcyon skies that sprinkled stardust
into our eyes only to cloud our vision with reality of age
seasons seem much longer
in youth but love is much more
ephemeral
when skies are
indecisive and hearts match the
rainbows
disappearing with
immediacy almost as quickly as they
appear...
but we remember dreams
don't we you and i
do you ever think of
re-entering mine?
