as my
knees wobbled, your lips rewrote our
language we spoke in tongues only the two of us could
translate even though proper
inflection was the least of our
concerns---
there is a special
implication when breaths entwine and hands search for new
worlds
we kiss innocence
goodbye, as bodies graduate to
new schools of sanction rules are shed to the
bare threads of conscience
and the feeling speaks
comfortably in any articulation
even pantomime...
