the setting
A Poem by
jacob erin-cilberto
the setting
the silver bird carried her away
but she still flew into my dreams
although the dream dimmed
like the light at sunset
and soon i realized her sun would never rise again
on my side of the world,
and i was left to wonder
if we still saw the same moon
when night reminded us
of each other.

Beautiful words, it was all short and a pleasure to read.
the silver bird carried her away
but she still flew into my dreams - amazing line!

You're most welcome, Jacob.
Thank you, that's very nice of you to say :)
It's always strange i think, when something happens in life that makes us ponder.
We look up to the sky, as if the answers are written in text just for us.
Why not me thinks, gives us hope.

It's a big world, but not so big that we lose sight of love.

We think that loved ones are sometimes too far away until we realize we all see the same moon at night.

Thud...this is gorgeous...it's that moon that I remember too, how massive it was that night that I let go, or at least thought I did, but we never really let go do we?
