Book MarkA Poem by jacob erin-cilberto
you
were the foxy novel i wanted to wrap my eyes
around squeeze the pages, dog
ear your heart
save it for later, then
forever when i started to drift
off to sleep when i couldn't read the
fading words when the nightlight
burned out like thoughts of you
dreamed in epilogues
i wanted to feel your
binding the supple-leather
sweetness as i traced paragraphs
of sensuality on onion skin patterns of playful
prologues
am i too foreword?
