it happens every creak of the bed springA Poem by jacob erin-cilberto
the
laces of my tennis shoes undo as i run back to you in
my dreams and you laugh as i trip
into your arms
waking as i hit the
floor of posture hugging my pillow as if your skin woke me
into habit
i never really stop
running but you never quite
catch me
either.
