tears spilled on the candleA Poem by jacob erin-cilbertoinspired by Kelly Scheppers' poem "an Icon"tears spilled on the
candle
her
mole, a postage stamp on a blond envelope of
expression
the curly, unruly hair much like her cryptic
mind licking the seal of
windblown reason she wept with the rain
and she was mailed to
the media ripped open letters no privacy of skin
just a beautiful bare
storm sent to her rainbow
much too soon
please, would someone
find a blanket? she is getting so cold.
