A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

tone deaf

harmony insinuates contentment

and yet, voices blend just as well in resentment

when the chorus condemns love's lean investment

Sometimes, we just hear and forget to listen.
Sometimes, we just say and forget to talk
Sometimes, we just look and do not see

It is very disheartening when love turns bitter over time
A little sweetness can balance it out
Hopefully they begin to see: The "lean investment" is worth so much more

He was the butcher's son but we never got free beef.

Nice write!
