Regardless of the Size or High Definition of the Print

Regardless of the Size or High Definition of the Print

Pulitzer's and Emmy's

read about, hear about it

first on the scene,

first on the pages

you heard it here

you saw it here

and there is no rustling of pages

as we stare at the headline

and freeze...

our mind imprinted with print

and footprints of ghosts

seeking shelter still

as the night lights up the sky

with shooting stars,

stars shot to death

and life an eclipse of the moon,

the darkest sun available

but priced out of range

normal is chaos now

and chaos burns my heart

should have worn those dark glasses

to protect,

but too late now.

i have burned my irises

with shattered roses

no longer believing the Gardener is paying attention

to his flowers

journalistic rabbits ravage the bed of love

and now, our eyes freeze to the screen,

freeze to the page of polarity

the magnet of a magnitude

of malevolence

draws me closer

to creating my own ending

before the reporters drown in their own

waters of sensationalism

and before that copy of tomorrow's Times

reaches its final "period"---

Just finished telling Andrew how I wish that media would take a note from this site. A visit here tends to expand my emotions, intellect and spirit. I've had enough of the low-resonating candy and sticks the general media offers. Hey ... I got an idea. We at WC should take over the net:) Are you in? lol Great write, Jacob:)

extra extra read all about it, reporters known for ambulance chasing, any drama or trama to small, it is how they survive and keep us aware of events.

Unfortunately, reporters do not have to go to far to find that sensationalism these days. "normal is chaos now" Jacob, you said a mouthful....so true. Frightening to open the newspaper these days. Good write. Lydi**
