check's in the glass vaultA Poem by jacob erin-cilbertocheck's in the glass vault
scorching thoughts
eyes glazed with seared reticence
lips caring now,
wanting accumulation of brush strokes
painting fervor
not by numbers
but by short breaths of conviction
idealized increments
getting back through the glass
and darkly my feelings wander
as your vision dissipates
and my imagination
rears a smile
at the naive endorser
of embezzled fantasies.
