Hearts can be the house that burn in love and grow in the wisdom of age. Walls of regret are reflecting the candles that burn slowly. With your wisdom and voice of uncertainty, you bring us the facts of impermanence and tragedy. Thank you for sharing...Excellent...:)..................
I love your poems Jacob. I always imagine it spoken by a firm and solid voice. a voice that has ''tasted'' life and knows how to breathe in tune with it. The ''skin tight parables'' was amazing.

beautiful, heartbreaking. But in the end, we may lose much of our minds, at least so it seems. But even in this state, the man senses that there was another, a love somewhere. Beautiful!
This is so touching. A pretty old man, feeble, almost coming to an end of his life wishes to see "her" just once more. As far as I have read in books and watched in movies and shows, many people, when they get old, are neglected by their families and relatives. Consequently, they are met by depression and extreme sorrow and the wish- as mentioned here- to meet that special person arises. You have pictured it all vividly and wittily. Keep writing.
Heartbreaking words....to live to be so old that you are truly alone. To only remember the one you loved and to wish to be with that one again. Heavy sigh....I believe this is in a large part about your Dad. I could feel the emotions in every line. A moving write. Lydi**
