There is an interesting expression in the emotional content of this piece.
The question might be is there humor in the telling, or a telling in the humor? In either case this is a piece I am glad you shared.

after reading your reply to Lydi's comment, I must say, even your "throw away" poems are pretty wonderful Jacob... so we have a garage sale of exes, I have $1.50 will this amount get me ex #1?? the hard truth is that even if it was enough, it would never cover the hurt and anguish to your heart of her becoming an ex... I am of course applying my own experience with my #1 ex and how this was the one I remember and feel most about losing...

anyway, here I am again, writing a longer comment than your poem... in some ways this is an indication that a good poem, not matter how tight and short in words, invoke many words of emotion in those that read (even when only saying, nice poem)...

Few words, but effective because those few words pack a powerful punch. Well done, my friend. :)

There's a song by a Canadian country singer.
'Would have been cheaper, to keep her, around"
He was talking about the wallet but there's a much more valuable currency which costs us more than dollars and cents.

Three exes.....and yet no matter how inexpensively they sell for, they cost the owner far too much. Again, lots of meaning here. I liked it. Lydi**
