meteorological questions

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

meteorological questions

tattered compromises

aged, weathered pockets of clouds

your face, the blue sky among them

but you are wearing another

and my intermittent rain of regret

still ponders my roof

with drops of maybes

could be's

and very certain what ifs

Those what ifs can bring the clouds...
But clouds blow over.

Life is too short to live with regret. After every storm the sun eventually shines and brings new life once the rains are absorbed. It sounds like a good dose of sunshine is needed after this one ;)

nice contrasts and interesting metaphors always ..this state of doldrums is so relatable .... with unsustainable barometric pressure ;) i sincerely hope that the winds will push this ominous depression out to sea soon!

I like the uncertainty and indecisive attitude of your writing. I often thought of the word weather combined with my mind, like the weather of my mind, which this one reminds me of. Still your words read so calm and lovely, a pleasure to my mind.

Great weather metaphor here. Just as the weather is unpredictable, so are affairs of the heart. Compromise...often it seems not worth it. Lydi**
