A nicely expressed tribute. I like the tone of your poem and somehow it reminded me of someone else, as well. Your word use is excellent, as always, I can only repeat it again and again, you're inspiring.

Most people will remember him for his outlandish behavior as much as his championships. They forget that he was a black athlete in the 60s and 70s that defied a government and ultimately won. Nice tribute.
I was never a fan of Cassius Clay...regardless of what he called himself, I was always put off by his cocky attitude. I was a fan of Roberto Duran and a few other boxers though. Later I preferred MMA and the Gracie family legacy, very humble and awesome fighters. Your poem is a very nice tribute to the former champ though.
