growing up

growing up

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

growing up

on the rock ledge,

outside your house on a quiet street

muffled laughter

inflected words,

infected spirits,

intersected lips

the transistor radio played our song

and then melted into burning ambition

the future became a hot static

but we cared not,

as hands explored the dial

of our deliverance

into tomorrows we fantasized

but inevitably met

our separate ways,

yet, i bet the moon remembers

don't you?

Life is an extraordinary journey in true sense, where we live in moments and then those moments becomes us.

You are welcome.
*sigh* - Young loves, first kisses, all that "forever" talk... Yes, the moon remembers. And she whispers the memories to us when it seems we have forgotten. Love this one, Jacob.

I guess two can have a path that diverges but meets in essence
Ask the moon ask the stars that have placed their fates to each other

The little bits of detail in a fake environment never managed to break the truth of an emotion

I wonder if fiber board and wires commute feeling? I wonder if they do, or if we warm it with grasping fingers and hope that it breathes.

I felt the pulse in this one my friend, glad to see you are well.

Some moments are never forgotten. Dreams were shared for a future that was never meant to be.
Beautifully penned.

Ah, I often wonder -- there were those moments, weren't there. This sums up that feeling beautifully.
