the dark side of the sphereA Poem by jacob erin-cilberto
the
specter of a famous poet like a jellyfish poisons from his callous collaborations with
wives and lives
reading his poems a
danger to unsuspecting victims with weak wills
don't put your heart
into the water he will have you
floating on stagnant waves while he swims with
another
and you will wash up on
shore breathing stifled,
noxious fumes from a halcyon sky that belies stoic clouds
to rise before your abrupt
sunset which comes
unfortunately predestined, and stamps its legacy
sooner than your moon is
ready.
