the cracks in morning

the cracks in morning

A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

the cracks in morning

i surmise the sunrise

in your eyes is for me

then suddenly,

i am opening my umbrella lids

and your iris

is the antithesis

of my deliriously drenched

dream.

See I find this interesting as an inter-relational and intra-relational poem . It could easily be about our waking realistion of our own reality, and the waking realisation of our relational realities. Nice one Mr J

thank you, kind sir, for your insights....

there is definitely too much rain going on lately and in our lives... like that "umbrella lids" both unique as well as accurate.. kinda reminds me of the Smoky R song, "The Tracks of My Tears"... hmmm why do many of your poems remind me of those old tunes??? lol

You have to one of the most effective writers on here. I call it "word efficiency", the fewer words you can use to effective express yourself.

Brilliant, and heart breaking.

thank you for your kind review, m.s.

Not very often that a piece with so few words can contain so much imagery, emotion and clever word choices. Despite the disillusionment, it resonates!
